The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple

The Honourable Society of the Middle Temple. Victoria Embankment, London

We were proud to be instructed by the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple to carry out resurfacing works at their prestigious London estate.

This historically significant and operationally sensitive site demanded meticulous planning and precision execution. Our scope of work included:

  • Careful excavation of the existing surface
  • Installation of new steel edgings
  • Installation of new sub-base
  • Installation of new porous binder course
  • Finishing with an 18 mm resin-bound surface

The complexity of the project was heightened by the fact that the London Underground runs directly beneath the work area, requiring careful coordination and risk management throughout.

Adding to the challenge, we were working to a strict deadline: the Duke of Edinburgh was due to visit Middle Temple as part of an official royal engagement, meaning the works had to be fully completed and the site pristine ahead of the event.

Despite the time constraints and technical challenges, the project was completed on time and to the highest standard — both in terms of quality finish and sensitivity to the historic surroundings of Middle Temple.
